The new episode of the WLS mini-series Getting On and Getting Off – on aging, sex, menopause and more – is dedicated to boomers and their boxes.
If you want to hear how erectile dysfunction can make for a better lover, how dating can improve with age, and why menopause is liberating, you’ll want to listen in to Dr. Lonnie Barbach and Paul Lutton.
She’s been a couple’s therapist for more than 30 years, is the “Dear Abby of the boomer generation,” and has written a dozen books, most of them on women’s self-discovery, self-determination and pleasure. He’s an Air Force pilot turned architect, software developer and author.
They met online before becoming professional and personal partners and at 80 (they both recently celebrated birthdays!) are starting their latest adventure: the upcoming podcast Boomers Out of the Box, which takes its title from his book.
Both are guides to online dating and shaking things up, through which they’re teaching – and learning from – folks in midlife and beyond that it’s never too late for sex.
Links to all the books discused can be found in the episode transcript.
