Women Like Sex | Ep. 12: A Little Shift Goes A Long Way

Artwork by Ted Nunes

This episode takes its title from guest Tiffany Brec and her company, Little Shifts Consulting. Tiffany has racked up many accolades and honors as a longtime gender violence educator, who teaches comprehensive sexual health and consent to adults and children, the latter with puppets! She’s also worked with student athletes, as a survivor advocate and as a nonprofit leader.

When we spoke, she had just launched her Little Shifts, through which she also teaches trauma-informed, equity-centered leadership. We all know a workplace, or two, or more, that desperately needs this kind of help, so do not hesitate to reach out to her.

In this conversation, we discuss some difficult topics, but with laughter too. Tiffany explains how healthy, inclusive sex ed is essential for preventing violence and reducing harmful stereotypes. She also shares pointers on improving media coverage and how her wife wards off shady men.

And I’m still waiting for a darts rematch. Ok, that’s not true, I could never beat her.
