Women Like Sex | Ep. 6: Fathers, Daughters, Birds + Bees
Artwork by Ted Nunes
For something we do so often, it’s not always easy to talk about healthy sex and sexuality. Especially with one’s kids, where the stakes can seem as high as the level of embarrassment.
There’s no one-size-fits-all way, as this week’s guests prove. Fathers Greg and Ray graciously share their insights, humor and questions with each other, and with all of us, about what they’re doing to avoid harmful myths and stereotypes with their teenage daughters. They also talk about keeping communication open even when it’s uncomfortable, and bond over the pride of having their girls come to them for advice. They also make me laugh really hard, as they always do.
If you’re a parent, guardian, family friend who kids come to for advice, and have other insights, feedback or questions, please share at natasha@wlspod.com!
