This week’s guest says she and her peers are still fighting the mythologies of “boys will be boys,” of virginity, of people-pleasing as a part of female sexuality. Which means my former student and I are able to share bad dating stories far too easily.
But the conversation is also heartening, as it is whenever young women share how they’re dismantling persisting myths about their sexuality, that they won’t put up with anymore.
